Have just read in Projections magazine that Bill Parsons has retired from fixing projectors.
Have I missed something?

I believe that Bill is unwell at the moment so has temporarily suspended his projector servicing.

Sad to lose my regular place to fix my Elmos, but his health is more important. Get well, Mr. Parsons, best wishes

I speak with Bill fairly regularly. I regard Bill as a sincere and personal friend of mine and from speaking with him lately, he is currently at a position in life through health implications where he cannot necessarily be held accountable or be held responsible for deadlines.

Therefore as a direct result of certain pressures felt at times like these, Bill has decided in the interim at least, to suspend taking any further orders for projector repairs until he is able at first to clear his backlog in his own good time.

Bill is after all recuperating from a serious operation so I trust his wishes will at all times be currently respected and adhered to, when I tell you Bill really is not up for taking phone calls and new enquiries at this time.
I trust in your complete understanding and cooperation for the time present regarding Bill's situation

We all sincerely wish Bill a completely successful and speedy recovery.

I would sincerely also appreciate somebody copying and pasting this text over to Film - Tech to also get this message across resoundingly there too, at this time please.

I wish him well. I was going to get both mine service next year, but of course health is more important.

I understand that it has been reported in "Projections" magazine that Bill has now "sadly retired from the projector fixing game".
