He was a much better actor than a lot of people thought, I would have loved to see him tackle a meaty 'straight' role, but he will be forever one of the funniest actors Hollywood will ever have, my favourite Gene Wilder films have to be "High Anxiety", "Young Frankenstein", "The Producers", but top of the pile has to be his collaboration with Mel Brooks in "Blazing Saddles", and he was a late addition to the cast, as the original actor cast wasn't up to it, and Gene took the role on with only a few days notice, I can't imagine anyone else playing the 'Waco Kid', can you!

It seems his last 3 years has been an ordeal, but now he's out of pain, so R.I.P. Gene, you made many people laugh over the years.

He was a marvellous comedic performer - i have the digest of Blazing Saddles and the full length print of Silver Streak - which contained his first on screen partnership with the late Richard Pryor - so i think a tribute show tonight might be appropriate.

See No Evil Hear No Evil is my favourite, one of the best with two great actors in it.

Yes, RIP Gene Wilder, yet another terrible loss this year, one of my favourite's of the 70's/80's. For me it's Willy Wonka, Silver Streak & Stir Crazy. Will be sadly missed

I have Woman In Red on optical so that will be getting an airing this week, God bless ya Gene and thanks for entertaining us through the years.
