I am back again

#1 by David Hardy ( deleted ) , Mon May 09, 2016 8:30 pm

Hi everyone.
Well that me now back on line following my recent house move.
Its a shame but I have had to dump my 35mm Westar Projector and around ten 35mm feature films.
Oh well thats the way it goes.
I did manage to save my portable 35mm Carl Zeiss projector and around 3 feature films and loads of trailers.
They are currently being stored in a leaky garden shed however.

He's definitely back....... and its all bad news, I would be devastated to lose film like that, and a top flight projector. Are you
settled in yet David, if not, why not. At least the weather has improved, it just proves that old saying, "Never cast a clout, 'til Mae
is out." Mae being the flower on the Hawthorn bush, not the month, as some folk believe, our hedges look fabulous now in bloom.
Can we trust you not to be firing anymore films into the skip?

Hugh cheers my friend.
In reply to your question I am nowhere near being settled in yet.
Bloody boxes of films , books , lp records , tapes , dvds/blurays , cds and other stuff
everywhere.
Its like a blinking warehouse in here at the moment.
I am sleeping with boxes in my bedroom.
Add to that trying to decorate the living room I am indeed having a lovely time of it !
Hahahahahaha !!!!

Glad to see you back David! I can feel your pain about moving as I moved twice in a span of less than six months two years ago.Thankfully I'm settled in now. Sorry to hear of the loss of your 35mm machines and films...

Douglas thanks.
I am a bit philosophical about my recent losses.
At least its less stuff for my family members to dispose of
when I come to the end of my final reel and fade out altogether.

Hopefully that won't be for a long time yet, you still have the bloody emulsion painting to do, gloss painting, then the carpets, fitting the
furniture , what looks better where, curtains to hang, .......what fun. When I think of the jobs lined up in front
of me, I feel like looking for a rope.

David, it must be like starting over again but having the films up front and fitting your house around the movies.
Sounds brill, take your time and have a really good sort out my mate.

Welcome back David, you can now "breath". Very stressful thing moving house and humping around 35mm projectors and film too, you'll have biceps like Arnie

And no doubt a headache like Stan Laurel just as he begins to sing a very high " Trail of The Lonesome Pine!" 😁😁

Time now perhaps David, for some relaxation first and a Wee Dram, me thinks!
