Ebay. The Smallest Show On Earth.

I have noticed that someone on ebay has won a bid for a print of the Super 8mm Feature of THE SMALLEST SHOW ON EARTH.
They have paid £ 140.66p + £ 6.90p postage.
It would have been a real bargain at this price if it was not for the fact that the print has a lab fault throughout.
It has reddish/ brown spots over the image. I have a "spare copy " of this film with the same fault and no way would I have paid this
crazy amount for it. I do hope it was no one on this forum because you have been ripped off there I am sorry to say.

It's expensive David that i grant you, especially for a b/ W 3 x 600ft feature with a known fault. However it isn't seen too often these days and it is a firm favourite for many collectors.

Do re mi excerpt sold yesterday for over £30 so put in context, I don't suppose ripped off is a term I personally would level at this one.

A Derann T&J print went for £57 last week BTW!

Things are becoming very very expensive indeed if even only a handful of people want the same print.

Andrew... some people are absolute NUTZ to pay these prices for a print. I agree that The Smallest Show On earth is rare print.
but to pay that for a faulty one just has me doubting some folks sanity or wealth. Its even more insane with the amounts paid
the shorts you mention. " Somewhere an electric chair is waiting. "

As a footnote I have 3 prints of The Smallest Show On Earth.
1 x Super 8mm on B/W stock the faulty one.
1 x Super 8mm on colour stock which now has a slight sepia tinge.
1 x 16mm Feature quite good condition with some scratches.

I remember the title, don't remember who issued it. Seems like there was no such thing as quality control.

Robert it was a DFS release. The fault was a lab one.
