Too many sub albums

#1 by Robert Crewdson ( deleted ) , Sun Aug 09, 2015 11:40 am

I have posted all my Castle scans in one album, with at least another to follow when I find it. I noticed in albums like Columbia, there is one album for each title, there probably won't be any variations of this title added, so I think it is wasting space. You could have all the Columbia films in one album, otherwise we could end up in excess of 300 albums for each distributor. My opinion.

Robert I agree with that. It should be more "streamlined". Over to you Vidar ?

However there is some cover variations for some titles. Check Bridge On The River Kwai for example. A lot of the covers were changed over the years from cardboard covers up to the plastic cover era. Derann did this too and changed the box art work along with others.

My opinion is to have it easy to find and have multiple covers on those that has more than one. Imagine finding a certain film with 300 pictures in one album. It would probably work, if the names were more descriptive. I am fairly sure I'd find it quicker by going to Ken Films, see Star Wars album and then pick the cover I need to print.

I can see Vidar's point that if there are different covers for the same film, he wants them kept together, I believe you can move the position of the picture after. I would want to post my Heritage Films in one album, not have an album for each title.

If Vidar prefers it that way , that's OK with me, we can have one for each title.

By all means have a Misc album under each, but would you mind if I moved them to albums too? Do you want them in on album, no matter what? I can understand the extra work, but if I do that, would that be okay with you?

Castle films used the same box for different cartoons , maybe I should have one album Cartoons, and a separate one for boxing or sport.

Do feel free to create an Misc album under covers and if there's multiple covers under there, I can move them later on into own albums. That should make it a bit easier, right?
