Eiki lenses?

Greetings all!

This fall I aquired an Eiki NT-0 projector and have been having fun with inexpensive 16mm films from ebay.

I've been using the stock Eiki 50mm (2 inch) lens and the image is small because the throw distance in the house isn't more than about 10-12 feet.
It looks like a 25mm (1 inch) lens would double the image width, but I don't find any for sale on ebay.
This page lists some Eiki lenses, but they are $200-$250.

I wonder if there is another place to get used Eiki lenses?

Thanks!

Hi Erik,

Welcome to the forum!

These shorter focal length lenses for Eiki projectors are indeed rare and expensive.

Another option is the Eiki Zoom Converter-16 /0.75x – 1.25x – lens. This screws on to the front of your 50mm prime lens. I believe this will allow your 50mm lens to provide a slightly larger picture than the 38mm prime lens. My converter will fit on my Eiki SL-0, although you might want to confirm this would also work for your NT-0 projector.

There is one on eBay right now, but it is in the Netherlands so shipping cost is a bit steep.

A few years ago a friend and fellow collector sold me an unusual lens which fits perfect in our Eiki protectors.
It's a 19mm F1.4 593-430 BUHL by Kodak. It produces a huge image at a very close throw. It will fill a 6ft screen around 6/8 feet from the projector.
I've not seen one like it before or since but if you can hunt one down this will give you a very large image and the quality of the picture is absolutely fine. For general use we do use a 25mm which is ideal for both the size and picture quality.
