Wow! Thank you so much, Tom. Believe me, we’ve taken a lot of care to be sure that even the most die hard collectors are satisfied with the prints. For now, Super 8 is still alive.
Regards!

Ruben, Just wondered who do you ask for an idea as to what titles you put out ?, i would love to purchase products from your new venture, but the horror film you have chosen i have never heard of, and the mickey mouse cartoon, there millions of these out there ?. The horror films can be popular, what about some action film releases, the opening of saving private ryan in scope would be one i would purchase, the chase scene from bullitt would be another one. I'm not trying to put a downer on your new venture, but perhaps your marketing needs updating a little, ask the forum members what they would like, ask them to put there money where there mouth is, in other words commit to deposit upfront..........

Hello Paul,
Thank you for your feedback. At first we’re focusing on Technicolor cartoons that, with the new print stock, will never fade and a also a beautiful, classical title, “The Drop of Water”, that it is not a digest but the complete episode (from “Black Sabbath”) instead. The Drop of Water is more of a mistery chiller than horror and can be watched by viewers of all ages.
Best,
Rubén

Hello Ruben,
This is really exciting news! Perhaps you have already posted more details elsewhere, but I am wondering if you can outline the basic process.
Do you create the 16mm negatives from a 35mm print?
Or, do you create these 16mm negatives using digital source material?
Will the prints have both a main stripe and balance stripe for magnetic sound?
Can you also create 16mm prints with optical soundtrack?
Again, sincere congratulations on your Ultra 8 project, I look forward to more news and info from you when available!

Hi Greg,
Here’s a brief outline of the process (you can find more info on our website: www.ultra8.es). Source is 35mm IB Technicolor archival prints (in the case of cartoons) and Cinema 4K DCP for “The Drop of Water” for example. A brand new 16mm negative (not an old one, this is important) is created and from it Super 8 first generation reduction prints. Sound is always magnetic stereo - 2 stripes (not laminated mono, this makes a huge difference). We won’t produce nor sell 16mm prints of our titles, just Super 8 high quality new prints.
Hope this helps,
Rubén
