Actor David Soul,perhaps best known for his role in the TV series Starsky and Hutch has died aged 80.
Besides his tv roles he stared in numerous films ,Here Comes The Brides,Magnum Force,The Yellow Rose,and Salems Lot.
Also known for h is singing he had two U.K. number one singles,Silver Lady and Don’t give up on Us.
I was fortunate to have met him back in 1977,he was making a lesser known film Mud,released as The Stick Up ,the film was panned on release and I have not seen it released anywhere.I’m sure it’s out there somewhere.He was filming at Yelverton near Plymouth,somewhere I have his autograph and if memory serves me right a gentleman to talk to.RIP.

Obviously known well for playing Hutch in the TV series which I use to enjoy and still do with the occasional re runs on TV today.
He played the bad guy well in magnum force, an all rounder as they say.
Another sad loss.
