Big Screen Time Revival - 22nd October 2023 - UK

#1 by David Tatham , Sat Oct 14, 2023 7:05 pm

Dear all,

Just a quick reminder that the next Big Screen Time Revival at Harvey Road School is on Sunday 22 Oct 23 😊.

It's only 7 minutes in the opposite direction to the April 2023 BFCC so hope to see many of you there that may not have ventured before.

For full details, please see flier attached.

For the first time at a UK convention all four gauges will have HID converted machines!!! I'm particularly looking forward to seeing how the Standard 8 and the 9.5 look on the 16 foot screen.

We also have the UK premiere, at a convention, of the new digests for Casino Royale and Home Alone.

Also, at least one New Release from Dorun films

Saturday Morning Picture Show

Standard 8mm Show/Rarities - Including a very interesting promo for the Elmo TP8.

16mm show - From the founder of Big Screentime, Geoff Wheeler - The story of Warner Brothers Studios

9.5mm show - First outing of my newly converted Buckingham/Elf NT1 (thank you Dave Locke)

Super 8 Scope Show - will include three new Scope Trailers available from the Reel Image

There will also be a bring and buy and a free table.

We have at least 13 dealers which will include sadly some of the late Martyn Steven's vast collection. Also some of Stephen Herbert's collection will be available.

There are four large tables left if you or any friends would like one.

Excellent refreshments are available all day at Tom and Jerry's Cafe .

See you soon,

David

You never know mate, I'm all for a profit but adding a zero onto the sum one paid for it is rather extortionate, especially as the seller says he cant test them but, "there is no reason they shouldn't work", how would one know? Check it out yourselves, charterhouse auctions.com, 2nd October film & entertainment memorabilia page 9 two thirds way down. I'm all for making some dosh but first Star Wars for a car repair and now these for a bike repair, You couldn't make it up.

I have seen on the other channel, these were questioned but as usual fair questions or points to be had have been removed, clearly in support of dodgy goods. When someone asks 600 notes for a machines that cost 60 they should at least be working, that whole sale should be removed IMO otherwise every Tom Dick and Harry will use the forums to move cheap junk on for vast profits, seems unfair on the other members to cut off what appeared to be fair questions. I guess at the end of the day, we can only hope no one is too gullible.

To be fair to the seller, he did actually answer the questions that were asked which you cant knock him for even when asked if those were the ones bought from the auction.
