Have a question for you to ponder.

I started filming a new British Steam railway film just before covid, and I am now catching up filming around the country to get it all in the can ready to edit and produce new Super 8 prints. Stood behind the camera today It crossed my mind as to when the last new Steam railway title was released on Super 8 film. This does not count any re release.

Some of the collectors have been following my progress over the last few years, and pleased to report it will be out on 8mm in a few months time.
Technical bit. Filmed on Leicina Special Super 8 and 4k including archival footage.

The question is - when was the last steam railway documentary released?

There's been lots over the years including ones from Walton, DCR and Perry's who released lots of Wilf Watters' films... but prior to Lee's upcoming release, when was the previous one, and what was it called?

I cant help on this as I've never viewed a railway film in my 45 years of collecting.
There have been dozens from those companies already mentioned, the latest one I would have thought would have been from Derann as they were still releasing them long after the above companies ceased with new releases.

I think the subject had run out of steam a long time ago.......
