Have you ever been "Shafted"

#1 by Barry Attwood , Wed Jun 14, 2023 8:11 am

I was just browsing ebay (U.K.) and saw a 200' copy of "Shaft", they only want £2,499 (starting price!), I guess it must be a typing error, but what if it's not!

I'm not sure how to do a link, so perhaps one of the savvy technical collectors could add one.

Wenn Sie hier auf Links zu eBay klicken und einen Kauf tätigen, kann dies dazu führen, dass diese Website eine Provision erhält.

It does look like this may have been a typo error that has been corrected now.
However, another one i mentioned previously clearly thinks this is something special,

There are also a few more clowns who have not made typo errors and for some reason they keep pursuing these prices, shame, I think they must live in cloud cukoo land.

And finally, for a laugh, read the description of this one!!!! Utter nut job.

It looks like the seller had a few messages about his listed price, although I still think that £24.99 (+ post of course) is still a bit much for this title, as most probably it will be suffering from some kind of colour shift.

I dont think any of the MGM shorts are worth even half of this price anymore unless they are on low fade stock, i cant recall any that are.
Most of the titles have fade now but very few had a decent sharp image, we've had many MGMs over the years and just about all of them had that awful slightly soft focus, collectors had to accept some crap back in the day.

It's funny with these Ken films prints, occasionallya title you are not expecting much from blows your head off, I recently had a print of the 400' of "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" and the colour was really good, I couldn't see any fade at all, so it just shows what can be out their!
