You'd have thought the seller would at least try and a make it look good.

Thats ok then. it certainly looks like this seller has tested it well, pluged in and switched on in both directions. It must be in full working order .

Its a shame though as the sonomatic 824 is a nice machine.

In my opinion, the best model of the 700/800 series. Eumig's designers really pulled out the plugs with its design.

Shame it’s been left to get in such a state, guess that’s the way it is .Maybe if the seller offered it a little cheaper would be worth a punt to clean up.📽

I have had a further look at the photos and can't see any parts for conversion to Super 8. The stuck-on panel at the rear seems empty. The Super 8 gate may be attached in the side lift-off panel but this is not shown.
I could be wrong.

I see there is a piece of paper with “set for standard 8” sellotaped on the machine, I reckon the last user had it set for standard and the attachment for super are long gone, somewhat like the machine.
Still worth every penny….lol…

i agree with Clyde, on this one. What your seeing is corrosion from inside of the aluminium surface when stored for long periods of time in cold and damp environments, a chalky white powder appears through the paint, you see it on the beaulieu's a lot when stored in a "cellar" or cold out house, so what could be going inside could be anyone's guess, i say avoid at all cost............

And there is the possibilty that the claw pin is broken.
The 810dlux i bought had that but it was very cheap and in good condition. The suprogen len was worth double what i paid for it. I will get back on this machine now and align the claw.
