The Building of a Blockbuster. (Towering inferno)200ft colour Sound

This was a short film we viewed a few weeks ago. It is also one that for some reason, i thought was a 2 x 200ft release, but i stand corrected. As far as i know it is 200ft colour sound and this is it.
This very full 200ft release shows some extraordinary behind the scenes footage of the filming of The Towering Inferno. All the stars of the movie are in this release as well as the Director and other crew. The sheer scale of the production is all within this excellent 10 minute film. One thing that stands out is the nervous looks of the actors as they are tied down before the well known water release at the movies climax, you can see many of those expressions were genuine nerves and not just acting.
The print is excellent with good clear image, colours are very good with no fade and the sound, excellent. If you dont have any "behind the scenes" 200ft releases, this would be one to hunt down.

Thanks for correcting on this one. I knew i saw there was 2 x 200ft reels of this. Can you tell me what the other reel contains, this one appears to be the later half of the film.

Yes, definitely two parts, as David says. They're both listed in the old Derann catalogues.

I have the other part to yours, Tom, and of course both are in the bonus materials on the BD disc (but that's hardly important! 😉).
