Very nice that you still have the original boxes for your projectors. I'll add a pic of my 9.5mm camera at the end of the week.

In answer to your question.
High end electronic projectors, as you call them, can be full of electronics which can fail and let down a good projector. Take, for instance the GS-1200, why does it need four motors?
In 16mm, I prefer manual threading, it may take a little longer to lace, but having spent 50 years in cinemas I find no problem in lacing manually. My prized 16mm Bell & Howell 644, which has manual threading, has had an HID 150 lamp conversion, and having been overhauled (including a new worm) by Kevin Brown not so long ago it should last for years.

Because i cannot repair electronics, i stuck to the ST1200HDs and resisted the GS.
I wish i held onto my BandH TQ111 specialist. Unfortunatly i gave it away because of bulb failure which was due to and electronic fault.Probably something simple but at the time i was selling off what little 16mm i had. Inam very pleased to have come back into it with the Eiki machines but i do like the B&H. As long as the worm gears are fine they seem to be very reliable.
The 9.5s look very sturdy.

I do what I can service wise, but like you I'm very limited when it comes to electrics. I don't like what I can't see😳. I got a big jolt from the back of a tv many years ago - that did it for me.
As for the build quality of the 9.5'ers - it varies between makes but generally the Swiss and Austrian makes are very much superior and built to last. Having said that some of my other machines are close to 100yrs old and still going.
I still favour 9.5 over the other home gauges probably because it was my first entry into home Cine.
Hi Terry,
Your double post has been removed--something only "Admins" are able to do...Thanks for showing us your wonderful collection of 9.5 projectors--really interesting to see!

Yes I've got the exact same model. Very heavy for a small camera. Nice leather case. They don't make 'em like that anymore. I don't think anyone develops 9.5 film now?
