Fast and the Furious

Last 35mm film to be shown at the Plymouth Art Centre last night, charity screening for staff member who lost her son to cancer aged 28.
The chosen film was Fast and Furious which came on six reels, polyester print which was in reasonable condition, with a few emulsion scratches.Everyone who came enjoyed the film which I made up onto one large reel for showing.Sad that this was the last reel film show, but nice for me to be able to make up,show, and break down the film,as I finish this week.(more in yak yak).
Pics from the evening.

Gwyn,

Sad and sorry that film is ending at the cinema. How very nice though to do this to benefit a co-worker and friend who lost her son...

Gwyn, yes i agree 100% with Greg on this, the end of an era and what a way to finish reel film in that cinema.

Looking for, Joe Kidd / The Outlaw Josey Wales on 16mm. Good prints only.

Sad to see film go, I think it won't be long before management realise they've been short-sighted. More and more I see cinemas proclaiming they're running film prints.
