Fireball XL5 & Blazing Saddles

After a great weekend - went to see 'Let It Be' last night - Story of the Beatles - and what a fantastic show and I am so glad I have a couple of Beatles shorts in my collection. So tonight it was a mini show. First up a 50ft silent film of Fireball XL5 called The Firefighters which my son bought for me off of E-Bay and a great little cracker from Walton Films. I still find it emotionally amazing that these puppet films were made in no more than a warehouse in Stirling Avenue Slough Trading Estate. Then ...... Blazing Saddles which I bought from PM Films in the early 80's and the colours are just as good as they were 36 odd years ago and also still funny. Just shows how childish I am- still find farting funny! Got so engrossed in the films I forgot to take some pictures, oh well next time.

I like Fireball XL5 better acting than a lot of them now. The opening and closing credits were fantastic too.

Fireball XL5

Blazing Saddles quite a good cutdown, I hope mine still has good colour too.

I still love the smell of film in the morning
