Hmm. Strange.. I guess I have a smaller 200' reel than you, haha. The colors on yours look great!

Mats: I have Hawaiian Holliday, but love Boat Builders. 35mm is not an option for me, though. But thanks for the offer.

The smaller 200' was a joke, but look here what I just noticed: The blue us the Clock Cleaners and the other us a 200' Kodak reel (sold empty). The core is smaller on the Kodak than on the one from Walt Disney Super 8 Home Movies. My joke seems to be true!

these different styled reels hold roughly the same amount of film Eivind...200ft.

I know it looks as though the grey coloured would hold much more, but on these small sized reels, the difference between having a large or small centre hub is negligible.

Maybe the difference is just about a bird scene, haha.

Except when it comes to 16mm ... I love those Taylor Reels 2000' with the extra 300' ... Makes overfilled 2000' easier to handle

Made a more scientific approach. The Clock Cleaners has 9mm longer radius of the core. Comparibg this to the scale of the reel from Kodak that should be just a bit more than 50' that should equal to around 2.5 minutes. That is actually more equal to the bird scene than I thought. Those clever guys at Disney ripped me off the bird scene with their larger core.

When Disney first released their cartoons in silent versions they were slightly shortened. When they later released their cartoons in sound, they were complete. When they closed down, Derann took the silent stock and added soundtracks from 16mm copies,of course editing them to fit the edited films. They are easy to spot even you don't know details since you get both sound and subtitles!
