Dam it, i missed out on a feature scope print of The Elephant man from CHC, & it was on 2 x 1200 spools.

Need to be much quicker than that Tom!
Prints of this title never seem to be up for sale for longer than a day or so.
Unlucky my friend. Hope you eventually manage to get hold of one.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Never mind Tom, and it wouldn't have done any good asking him to keep an eye out for a print either.
I've got a mate here in Manchester that has been searching for this title for many years, I have no idea if it's him that snapped it up, but I do know it's a sought after title by many.
I tossed a coin when I selected Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I'd have been happy with either, but the original condition of the Marilyn movie, swung it for me.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
I tried first thing on day one, i think i missed it by a few hours.
Never mind though, it wasn't meant to be as my Lady says.

Have you considered 16mm Tom, it could turn up on that. Have a word with Dave Guest, he turns up allsorts of stuff, he would
let you know I'm sure if one turned up. Then there is ebay, but that's chancy, Barry at Indy 8 would let you know or Ian at Perry's.
You could always ask on here, regardless of our own members, lots of folk take casual looks. There are quite a few alternatives
to CHC, thank God. What is a miss on here, is a Wants/ For Sale column
Guess what, the ever observant Scott missed the fact, there is a wants / for sale column, I need a cup of tea and specs.
It's certainly rare now on eight from Derann. I've only ever seen two prints since being back.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
There are a few out there Andrew, some are on B/W stock, but there are a number on coloured too. It isn't a particularly
rare film, Tom stands a better chance with this, than with the titles I'm looking for.
I'm sure there are Hugh, but still, I've only ever seen two Derann prints for sale in the last five years and one of those had faults.
Robocop sold fairly well, but I've still not been able to find another one in the last four years for sale, despite knowing quite a few who have one.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Well guys, the sun is out and everyone is toasty and one of my my latest acquisitions is "Some Like It Hot", we certainly do
Brilliant acquisition Del!
I take it, it is the full feature on Super 8?
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Great find Del!! Well done you!
Sun or no sun...get those curtains closed the very minute it arrives.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
"Horror Hotel", put out by Thunderbird Films, the American cut of "City of the Dead", they're out there too Andrew, but I have never, ever seen a print anywhere in nearly fifty years of film collecting, this is well before ebay, I had all dealers lists sent, dealers were primed to keep a look out, so Tom has a better chance than myself of getting
his film, there was one with a foreign track being sold not that long ago, like Del's 633 Squadron, albeit a redub when you get it, but
Derann's stuff does surface more frequently than some other titles, especially on foreign sites. Granted certain prints may have a mark or
two, but its a choice, you either lower your sights, or wait endlessly for a "perfect print" which may never materialise. I'll take the print
with faults, if I love it that much I can obtain a better one, if it shows up, better that than nothing. Nearly forgot, there was a print on
ebay US in 16mm, a flat print, but better than not having it.
I've taken many a compromise also over the years Hugh, as no doubt many of us still purchasing now, have had to.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Man after my own hearth Hugh, I never wait for the perfect print, I buy what I can if it's something I want, then upgrade it for better if it ever becomes available. At least I'm not missing out altogether.
The films have just arrived (not all from the same source), On The Town - Goldfinger - Sound Of Music (full length) & Some Like It Hot. Busy days ahead, I'll be as high as a kite
You will indeed Del! Some fabulous titles arrived with you there Del, there really is.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
So will the debit on the 'ol bank account heh heh, never mind though, its only money, but well done Del, get the beer in and
just sit back and enjoy. Andrew, get me Witchcraft or City of the Dead and Robocop is yours.
