While packing some film catalogues away I have found a printed list of
16mm films from Centaur Film Services , Tunstall ,Stoke On Trent. England.
Did any other collector deal with them and do they know who they were ?

Hi David, the only record I have of them, apart from their ads in mags, are their rubber stamp in some box lids of a standard 8mm
feature. I've never dealt with them, but know a man that did, my mate, "Big George", he was a lorry driver, used the early Eumig
sound projectors, I used to loan him films, he was very careful and considerate. He used to buy film, watch them a couple of times them trade them in for new titles, not a collector per se, but a user of film, so I was most surprised, as was he, when a box of virtually new films he sent for appraisal, got this miserly evaluation, he just asked that they be returned, when they arrived, he said it looked like they had been kicked from "here to hell", he never ever dealt with that company again, instead he discovered Ian at Perry's, through
a bit of guidance, and loved the service he received from him, but Centaur were never used again.
Cheers Hugh. I bought some films from them and they were okay.
I still wonder who the hell they were though.
I only recall the ads. Looking through my old film mags the last few weeks. Amazing how many film dealers there were. Found out that the building Walton Films were in 87 Richford Strret next door were Film Facilities Magnetic.
I still love the smell of film in the morning
