What a shame! I have only just this heard this very sad news.
The two Ronnies were legendary in our house when I was growing up.
Very sad news indeed there Vidar, I'd had no idea he had been ill???
Another sad loss, I liked RC and the two ronnies were brilliant RIP Ronnie.
Sads news indeed. I believe he's been battling bad health for the last 2-3 years. He was a talented man, not only a fine comedian, but a good actor as well, another one of the 70's British TV icons who have, sadly, left the building.
Reunited with his pal Ronnie Barker hopefully, if you carry any spiritual beliefs.
Very sad to hear the passing of Ronnie Corbett, one of the last true great British Comics, The Two Ronnies were true television gold and a part of Saturday night viewing.

Yes sad news to hear of his passing. Another great Scottish comic gone.
Now we are down to the " 0 Ronnies " however their shows will live on
for future generations to come. Thanks to TV.

Agree 100% David, today's comedians seem to rely on filth and swearing, almost as a shock comedy.
Ronnie Corbett and others from that era all had real talent for making an audience laugh. Very sad.

I agree with you guys there as regards the swearing and sleaze that todays comics seem
to depend on in order to induce some laughs in the audience .
At least the likes of Laurel & Hardy , Abbott & Costello , Morecambe & Wise never had
the need to resort to such levels.
There was certainly some subtle innuendo involved in their comedy but never did it
become explicit.
I was saddened to hear this news, nice that they were "considering " giving the man a Knighthood, how long do they expect our
aging entertainers to live? Maybe like in the case of Peter Cushing, they were to slow too catch a cold. Anyway, the loveable little
chap has provided us with endless entertainment, my favourite must be the Pinocchio take off, where Ronnie plays an evil puppet,
and he looked the part! A very tragic loss to all who like genuine fun. A lovely little Scot whose talents will entertain for many
years to come, and a delight to work with by all concerned.
