Not so much the item, just a fairly unusual way of conducting business...
All I can say for a reel with about 300' of film, even a rare Derann Scope print, that price is very, very high indeed, but what do I know, it's not as if I'm a dealer or something, OH! wait I am, silly me!
Strange perhaps the weather is causing people to do strange things??

This is another one of those stupid listings.
I have a copy of this film, its good but aint worth that asking price. It's actually reel 2 from the feature, Derann never got around to releasing any more unfortunately.
You see, this is what really annoys me with ebay, it certainly has its good side but this is a mickey take.
IF, the person selling this started it at a fair price,(say around 19.99) and it them rose to over a £100 then that is fair cop. Someone wants and is prepared to pay for it, but asking this for 13 minutes on the off is just pointless, greedy and rather stupid. In my opinion.

Totally agree Tom, but it all depends on if it is a favourite film, if the seller had a BIN price, of £40-£50.00, fine, or as you rightly
say a reasonable start price, but like so many more it will become a fixture.
It is bonkers though. I see on the other forum one of the chappies is selling Aliens. I know this one fetched a lot of dosh but over a grand?
I do note how many well known collectors are starting to sell there top titles at very high prices, and probably getting them. My question here is is this,
Is there a lot of well known collectors selling while the going is good?
Is super 8 going to go the other way?
Is a lot of collectors just getting shot of cine and going digital? (hope not)

It is Tom, but we all have that "virus" where if a much wanted print appears, we try to gain possession, but there is no doubt where
we have the "jumping on the band wagon" where certain titles are concerned, its like I have already said, the days of getting that
cheap feature are getting further away. The crazy prices for what are really mundane films on super 8 astound me, a lot of this
"it was a Derann print", so what, they were not perfect, in my humble opinion, one of the most clear and colourful, was "Flash Gordon",
but obviously I'm on my own. That aside, there are better films to be had on 16mm, better gauge, better definition, better value.
GORDON'S ALIVE!
Like this film, sadly not in my collection, yet.
I still love the smell of film in the morning

It is truly a stunning print Dave, if it pops up, no doubt it'll be auctioned for a kings ransom, it does appear on 16mm, in nice colour too.
