Lady Penelope passes away

Sad news indeed that Sylvia Anderson, who voiced Lady Penelope and helped her late husband Gerry, who passed away in 2012
make many popular puppet series like Thunderbirds, Capt. Scarlet, Joe 90 etc, she was 88. R.I.P Sylvia, Parker has driven her home for the last time.

You missed a real treat there then Vidar when we were kids. Gerrys's work was fantastic and just a shame long versions were never available on 8 in col/snd.

Sad news once again here regarding his wife, Sylvia. R.I.P.

All I have seen was a 50' silent B&W print. I'd like to find a couple someday

If these had been produced by Columbia and then released on Super 8mm in even 400ft lengths in the manner the still to this day, excellent Flintstones and Top Cat films were, then we would have been in for a treat.

As it stands, there is only miniscule bits and pieces of these productions out there on Super 8mm and they tend to be B/W. Silent, as you say.

It is sad Andrew, Arrow films used to release them, 50' lengths col/ B/W silent. Interesting though that Derek Meddings and his effects
crew went on to work on the Bond films. Vidar, take it from me, Thunderbirds is still a great entertainment, it was repeated on TV a few
years ago and Kids ( and their parents ) loved it, it caused new toys being issued, this was before the travesty from Jonathan Frakes on
the big screen, he just didn't get it at all.
