RE: Recent 16 mm Purchases

Bought my first 16mm projector from Pindene in Southampton sometime in the mid to late 80's My first film was to be Joe Kidd. Unfortunately Will Smith couldn't find it, so bought The Secret Partner a great film I think. Finally got Joe Kidd last year, in scope too.

I still love the smell of film in the morning

Just got Swashbuckler from Steve Osborne. It was sold as having fade, but hope there's a little colour left

Great film Vidar, lovely locations too. Here's hoping it is okay.

Not sure what to expect (not having high hopes) as it was a cheapo. Sadly I did not get the other film I ordered, Arthur. Might see it tomorrow

Timothy, how are you liking your Telex? Those are basically all I use, very gentle on film, east to thread, etc. Have a zoom lens for mine that really fills the screen!

I didn't know this was a sequel to 'That'll be the Day', which I saw at the cinema, then bought some of the records featured in the soundtrack. I see Marty Wilde is in this one. Enjoy, David, looking forward to your reviews.

What a brilliant film, Douglas; loved Lionel Jeffries acting like some sergeant from WW2. Especially like the scene where he follows the vicar, played by Wilfred Hyde White.
