Goko RM8008 instruction Manual

#1 by Andrew Woodcock ( deleted ) , Thu Feb 04, 2016 5:45 pm

A very helpful and generous member here asked if I had the manual for the above machine.

I have, in its original paper form and whilst I could privately mail the photographed scans from it over to our friend here, thinking about it, it's probably a better idea to post it on here for all to benefit from should they ever need it.
Therefore as well as mailing it, I will place the manual here in the appropriate place also by tomorrow end.

If there are others you may wish, that you feel I may, please just ask.

Sorry John, been in work past few days and on nights starting tomorrow, so hopefully, I will get these pages photographed before I go on in the day tomorrow with any luck.

Ok here they are. Apologies in advance that the camera struggles in artificial light to focus on the small print, but hopefully you can decipher what relevant information is most needed from this. If not, I shall just try and take the problem pages again.
I must invest in a scanner one day! lol.

John i will mail you this lot in a folder very soon.

As said, apologies for the blurry photographs here in low light conditions. Any that you need duplicating, please just ask and I will get much clearer copies when time permits.

Mine came with one Paul but I'm on nights now till Thursday night.

I've only ever had success recording in sync with this machine for up to 10minutes at a time. That was even controlling the digital image and sound using video software that connects to a controller where you can govern the tempo infinitely.

Beyond that there is just too much slippage from the capstan to keep the film accurately and constantly driven at any given feed rate.

I've tried on a few occasions but now I just use this editor to check films and for track to track transfers. It does this very easily and very well indeed might I add.
It's a useful machine to clean film on also by hand, up to 1200ft.

For the reasons suggested above, I never understood why Pedro ever bothered making a version of his motor controlling boards for these to use with his sync boxes?

Does anyone still have a copy of the English manual in Word that they could send me. I suffered the dreaded Seagate drive failures on my computers and lost 10 hard drives and all their contents!

Regards
John
