The Opening Battle Sequence From Gladiator

Watched both of these extracts today, using our friend kevin's advice , with a scope lens Ha ha!

These are from the first extract.

The action scenes are just photographed way too fast to capture anything worthwhile here and I cannot ever feel fully satisfied with the images obtained from a scope lens, just never look as sharp to me. Anyhow here are a few of the stills I could just about capture without too much blurring effect from all the fast action. Using eyes though, its great watch though I have to say

Must try with the Kowa sometime after getting the right bracket from FFR. These are with a Proskar scope lens but some Vignetting as you can see and not very sharp at all to my eyes, though the images do appear better when watching than these seen here.

This is the Proskar set up with the correct sized rear barrel for the projectors adaptor ring. I'd need a much larger one though for the Kowa.

Two great extracts, we also have theses joined onto a full 400 foot spool. Action packed.

I am surprised to hear they will both go on one 400ft reel Tom.
These two of mine are both on 400ft spools in their original boxes, but they both still appear to be well over half full and more towards the 300ft mark.

Its a very full reel Andy but it does go quite easily.
I would prefer it on a 600 but only if i make a programm with a trailer etc otherwise its a waste of a 600 ft spool.

Very True Tom! It would be nice if this or a similar films trailer were available to go before these. Do you know if one exists Tom?

Thanks Tom. I can't say I've ever seen one for sale though. I will keep a look out more now you're confirming there was such an item.
