The Day The Earth Caught Fire. Anyone know if this got released on super 8? I recall seeing it on Regent Films flyer. Hope I still have them I want to scan them to post.

Hi Dave, never released on s.8 to my knowledge, although ai have a nice copy on 16mm.
If it was it would have been from overseas. Regent Films dealt mainly with imported films. Blackhawk, Thunderbird and others. They used to import USA prints of Fox and Columbia titles due to better quality prints.

I had irons in all fires Dave, but that is a title that I can honestly say was not released on the 8mm gauge, unless there are pirate
prints, indeed, as Vidar will bear out, I sold my print of Robin Hood to nail a print from the USA on 16mm.
It may be available on Standard 8, as there were many titles released that never made it to super 8, although I have yet to come accross a copy, but I'm constanly surprised by titles available only on STD 8.
Barry, you are so right, the stuff that appears on std 8 ( reg 8 ) is amazing.
