I did pick my quote of the post with care. They were originally 16mm I think.

David and Vidar. They did originally use 16mm Bell & Howell machines. In fact if you look carefully at
one of the photos you can see the rear of what looks to be one of the 642 - 650 series or the TQ series.
Spools are also visible in a couple of pics.
If you go to the bottom of the photos link there is a Black and White photo of a Bell & Howell.
So I rest my case and point proven.
There was TV series last year on UK TV that featured these Mobile Cinema Buses going round the country.
Their front page shows a video projector but that doesn't mean they took out the 16mm.
