It was his last movie and I have the 16mm feature of it. Quite good, maybe not his best, but still

It was his final film Paul, I have his penultimate in 16mm 'scope "Tom Horn", I must admit I don't like the man, but had a soft
spot for this true story western.

Oh, McQueen and not like :-) Didn't you like him in The Towering Inferno either? That's where I discovered him. Saw that film in the cinema back when I was a kid. Loved it

I was never a fan Vidar, I never took to his little monkey face, and hated him when he was trying to put Bruce Lee down, I appreciate
his performances in "Papillon" & your "Towering Inferno" etc, he even tried to upstage Yul Brynner in "Mag. Seven", until Brynner put him straight.

He was known for his hissy fits on set, the great escape and towering inferno, he insisted on top billing with Paul Newman and at least as much screen time, he was also known
for some unsavoury friends, and attending some wild parties in Hollywood, how they kept it quiet is a miracle.

He also cheated on Ali, his wife, I don't think I'd have cared to meet the man, I do like James Garner though, I get the impression, though
I could be wrong, usually am, that what you see is what you get. Before I forget, those pics are brilliant Paul, exc. print.

Thanks Hugh. I knew there was a 3x400ft of this from marketing, but this is something else. Sadly towards the end of there print runs and using Agfa s2 film stock, this has
the look of my 3x400ft war of the worlds print from them, less blue hue more greenish to me, but still a nice find. I like James Garner, he looks like the type of guy who
would share small talk with you over a pint, and he was good as Jim Rockford not taking himself too seriously.

They did Tom, I have "Barbarella", "War of The Worlds" and had a beautiful copy of "Once upon A Time In The West" that I sold on,
having obtained it on 16mm. I could never understand Marketing's policy on some of their 3x400's being slightly masked, but the features
were always full frame.

Hi Tom, it was a few years back, I'd bought it from my 'ol mate Tony Churcher, I get upset just thinking of how he died, but he sold
me his print, he had imported it from the USA, knew it was a favourite of mine, I had it a short time, sold it to Ian at Perry's,
the first question he asked was "is it faded", he was well pleased no doubt as the colour was beautiful. I only sold it to obtain the
film "7th Voyage of Sinbad" on 16mm, I'd got OUATITW on 16mm. As you know it is on S/8, in 'scope, at a price. I might consider it
sometime, but not on the poor replacement they call "acetate".

Hi Tom, it was from Fransisco on the other forum, I got an email from him, as you know he has sold a lot of films over a period of time, some of them to me, and
one of those was once upon a time in the west in scope, nice even on acetate film stock. He's a really nice guy to deal with and he does the dub back to English
if you need it. The hunter is being dubbed back to English stereo for me by him as we speak.

A great find there Paul, there is so much good stuff on 8mm with super colours, unfortunately, we hear too much about the bad stuff and faded prints and one often gets the impression that all cine film is going red, clearly not
I do have the 3 x 400 of the Hunter and this one along with our War of the worlds and escape from Alcatraz are still in perfect shape.
