MORE NEWS ABOUT THE NEW SPANISH FILM LABORATORY... IN GIBRALTAR!
It´s called Retro Cinema Service Lab, specialized in 16 mm and S8mm motion picture film. The owners, two partners (one British and the other one Spaniard), were kind enough to give me ten meters of Kodak Ektachrome 100D in a Fuji cartridge. The box, nicely presented. The cartridge, which comes packaged in an airtight bag, has successfully modified so that all the cameras modern Single-8 can read the correct film speed (however, certain cameras such as the Fuji AX100, the ZX250, the Canon 518 or several Elmo can not read the speed, because this cameras are reading sensitivity in the front flange). The cartridge, perfectly clean and lubricated. If anything, I miss a place to number it. This laboratory sells the film with the processing inclusive. They process all the E6 motion picture films with 7 bathrooms and a continuous processing. For now, as I was told by one of its owners, they have stock of Kodak Ektachrome in single-8 cartridges because, when this stock was discontinued, they bought from John Schwind everal cans of DS8 120 meters, keep in freezer from then. The Spanish and British single-8 filmakers has good luck! The address is www.retrolab.eu
