Got a great looking low fade 16mm poly print of From Fulham With Love, Minder episode. As it happens, this was one i was going to buy form Dave Guest a couple years ago but missed it.
Also on the way, the 400ft U8 edition of The Wolfman.
Also recieved a couple of shorts from Barry, T & J Night before xmas, later reprint, and The 200ft Blackhawk rarity, The Hindenburg. (Documentary).

Well done, Del! Do you mind me asking how you found North By Northwest? I'm on the hunt for that, but slowly admittedly...

End of Days too, very nice.

Just received a Heritage title in its original box from classic - Girls Galore with Michael Bentine and Harry Secombe - its an extract from a 50's comedy Forces Sweetheart - but im looking forward to watching two of the Goons. I have also just won the 400ft cutdown of Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry with Peter Fonda, Susan George and Vic Morrow - so im looking forward to watching that.

Martin, it came how most valuable prints come these days from collector to collector, over the last couple of years I've gotten to know many collectors around the world who I gladly deal with, this also helps when looking for titles/films

Tom, the GWTW print apparently was bought new and only reels 1 & 8 have been viewed, it just got put to one side, it's in it's original boxes. It's funny now because if I total the reels I have for GWTW I have:

reel 1 x 2
reel 2 x 2
reel 3 x 1
reel 4 x 1
reel 5 x 2
reel 6 x 1
reel 7 x 1
reel 8 x 3

It's the same with Goldfinger I have the following reels:

reel 1 x 2
reel 2 x 3
reel 3 x 1
reel 4 x 2

Anyone have a spare reel 3, I can make up another feature.

Yes, as I suspected, Del. All my features have come from collectors too, but I'm sure you have a much wider network than me!

Martin, it is now fact mate that most top quality prints are just passed from one collector to another, let me know if there is anything you are looking for personally and I'll see what I can do for you.

It seems someone doesn't like my posts

Tom, I have a Minder episode from 85, believe it or not, it's the episode before the one you have just purchased from series 6 (we are watching the dvd's now), it's called "Arthur Is Dead, Long Live Arthur", if your interested mate, send me a PM

Collectors don't agree on who is a reliable seller; I have seen names mentioned on here as reliable, but my personal experience was that they omitted to mention defects. There are some I have bought from for years that others won't touch with a bargepole. I should say that the unreliable seller I had experience of is not a member of this forum.

Just had You Only Live Twice scope feature on Super 8mm this morning, not sure if it's an earlier print as it only has a main stripe, no stereo re record for this one, I've heard the original sound is excellent so not too bothered.

Was this a Derann release? If it was its unusual to only have one sound stripe.

It could be an early German release on polyester when they were only able to do main sound stripe only. I remember that put me off some recent poly cartoons from CHC that only had main stripe. The problem has now been sorted as prints are now striped in Italy where stereo tracks sre applied.

Nice one Del. Now there's a feature I've been after for sometime, always too much money, just pipped at the post by someone, story of my life mate. Well done, certainly one of the better "old style " bonds, with the best bond in my opinion. Enjoy you lucky................

To be honest Graham i'm looking at the films we have that also have the early oxide paste stripe. The lumpy bumpy stuff in my mind, is really not good for the sound heads of our machines, especially those with softer heads like the Eumigs.
I see very good reports about the Italian sound stripe and this is confirmed the the new Jurassic park release.

False alarm, it does have twin tracks, it was just the leader that had the single track, it is in mono for now, just had a quick look at reel 1 and wow, took a small amount of screen shots which I'll share tomorrow as they are on my phone. I believe this to be from Steve Osborne and it is indeed a German print as the titles are in German. If I ever do decide to part with it, it will be coming your way Paul, but can't see it just yet, it's a cracker, pride of place with Goldfinger I think.

It could then be a CHC release on Acetate. All his films were mono.

After all the discusion years ago when Walton did away with the balance track, (to save costs), im surprised that any modern releases were single track only.
