Greg: Tom & Jerry, A Night Before Christmas is one of my favorites (I have it on Super 8).

Oxford Blues, Rob Lowe? Like that film. Top Flat I have also. A bit envy on your Tummy Trouble, but at least I got that Rollercoaster thingy too.

Vidar,

Oxford Blues is an optical print with some fade (per seller). My wife is a big Rob Lowe fan, so got it in part for her. I have one odd reel in 16mm with low-fade color of Oxford Blues as well. If I could find "About Last Night" with Rob Lowe in low fade, my wife would be pleased.

I really like the Thelma Todd and Zasu Pitts comedy shorts. I don't think the later ones with Patsy Kelly are as good, but will still buy them if the price is right.
I have lost out on many ebay auctions for Thelma Todd in 16mm, so nice to pick up a couple in Super 8. One of the other prints in the photo is "Cockeyed Cavaliers", also with Thelma Todd.

Eivind - The T&J Night Before Christmas is one I have been seeking for a while. It looks like color is decent, but not brilliant. Nonetheless I am happy to add this one for the next Christmas film show...Never to early to be ready, prices often seem higher for Christmas films as the holiday approaches.

Moon Mouse. Standard 8.

I don't know the reel size of this one or whether it has sound or not (most likely not). It was advertised as Super 8, but the cover says Std 8. I just had to buy it for the title and cover art :-) Anyone seen this?

Just going by the cover art, I think it's a retitled print of Little Buck Cheezer (1937).

Iman,

I think you are right. I have "Little Buck Cheezer" in B&W 16mm, and I think it is a fun old-school cartoon. The title is in reference to "Buck Rogers" I believe.

Some great stuff in there Dell, Guns of Navarone and Saturn 3 to name just two, and a carry on film. You will have to let us know what the colours are like.
Well done on this lot.

Tom, I do know the colour on Saturn 3 is excellent and I think The Guns Of Navarone is good too and I think the print was struck in 1991, according to the box (don't shoot me down in flames with that one), Clyde, nice one mate, you can ask , I'll just say is cost a pretty penny or two, but I wasn't driving 430 miles without filling the car

This is my latest 16mm feature.
Having cleaned and hand viewed so far colours are excellent and it has the original United Artists logo not the later MGM ONE.
I calculate that it is the full 2 hrs 42min tv version with 8 splices for adverts. The only drawback is it’s WS not Scope.Beggars can’t be choosers and I have always wanted this film. Will be running it in the not too distant future I hope.

Nice one, Gwyn, been wanting this, but seem to be hard to find, even faded. WS is fine, I think. Did you sell your house to get it? ;-)

Vidal,
No did not have to sell house on this one.I was as they say in the right place at the right time.
I too had been looking for years for The Alamo and all the prints I had seen were either in the States and expensive or
as you say faded /cut .I understand from the seller that the print came from a private collection in the States originally.
Also it’s the 60th anniversary of this film next year,as I say hope to view soon.

Here is a couple of pics from another version of The Alamo of which I have two copies, anyone else still have this?
VHS copy of the directors cut of the film running at 203 mins apparently there are no longer any 16mm versions of this but I stand to be corrected.I bet someone somewhere got the full version.
Anyway the tape has held up well and although the picture does not compare to film etc I quite pleased that I can still watch the longest version available.

Anybody else do tape?

Unfortunately MGM has let the full version (on a 70mm print) deteriorate in their vault with no desire to spend the money to restore it. The laserdisc and VHS (which I received for Christmas from my parents when it came out) from the 1990's is the only way we will be able to see this until someone steps forward to pay. Every time I visit the Alamo (it is only 30-45 minutes from my house depending on traffic) I am reminded of the sad state of this film.
