You know I am not too worried about stripes, frameloss is the worst and if it is a lot of them, I struggle watching it. Think of me, if you decide to sell

Of course Vidar, and once again, well done for your teams amazing victory last night!
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Still another one available of course on a nice fumeo 1200ft spool (always a good sign if they have the machine to go with it) for anyone on the lookout still.
This film is like a number 53 bus, none for ages, then 3 come at once!

It appears to be in excellent condition based on the screenshots.
The cropping btw is the same on them all and no, this film was never originally issued by Derann on 1x 1200ft spool in one continuous run. In fact none ever were.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
That says it is a Steven Spielberg film, it is of course a Joe Dante film

Spielberg was the executive producer Vidar. I guess his association with this film makes a greater banner on the front cover than ever that of director Joe Dante.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
I know, but more correctly in my opinion to credit the director :-)

Best not mention Poltergeist then, "directed" by Tobe Hooper ;)

Exactly, though Hooper not to keen on being told what to do by Spielberg

Some nice titles there, a few of which I have myself. Hired Sky Riders feature from FDA fantastic print. I wonder what happened to all those hire only prints?
I still love the smell of film in the morning

LAUREL & HARDY TRAILERS - SAPS AT SEA / CHUMP AT OXFORD – Super 8mm, Sepia, Sound, 100ft. (B) Trailers to two classics from the boys.

Essential stuff Vidar for a L&H enthusiast and serious collector of the boys films like such as yourself.
As you draw towards conclusion to any collection set, it is always more likely in my experiences that you are forced to pay just a little bit more than we'd ordinarily like, to finish off with all the nice bits and pieces that complete it.
It's still well worth it if its what your into, I find.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Well Done Vidar; some rare titles there. I have Nothing but Trouble/Air Raid Wardens from Canterbury films. I never saw the other titles advertised.
My latest purchase this evening is from Mr Guest for a copy of 'The Red Beret', Alan Ladd. So that's two Alan Ladd films I have coming now. I'll write an in depth account of this film when I've viewed it.
We will have an Alan Ladd tribute week then Robert when you get your two new films featured here.
I look forward to it and will no doubt whet my appetite to give "Shane" a good coat of looking at again.
I can't say I've seen many others of his make onto full length release on Super 8mm but maybe others know of one or two more to look out for?
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
The only one I know was 'Gangs Incorporated', but Ladd was virtually unknown at this period. It was originally released as 'Paper Bullets', and starred Jack La Rue, who looked a bit like George Raft. Alan Ladd only appears about 10 minutes in the film, but after he made 'this Gun for Hire', it was re-released, and he was given top billing. The minor studio was trying to cash in on his success.
Shane is a real classic. I always found it quite sad at the end as Shane rides off into the sunset, with Brandon de Wilde asking him to stay. Brandon de Wilde died young, I think from drugs.
In 2015 there was a British seller on Ebay selling snapshots of most of the Hollywood stars of the 40s.. I contacted him for some background info, and he said while on a trip to the US he bought three books of photos of film stars, taken by some woman who used to follow the stars around. I don't know if she did this as a profession, or just took photos instead of collecting autographs. I picked up a pair of photos of Alan Ladd; what makes these interesting is that they probably have never been published. He had stars like Abbott & Costello, L&H, but after I bought the Ladd pictures he withdrew the lot, maybe he had second thoughts.
Very interesting Robert. You've got a couple of very unique photographs there then.
A real coup for any fan/ collector.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
