That's all any of us ever want, no hidden surprises upon arrival.
Most of us can accept a few irregularities here or there with a medium of such a delicate nature as film. What we don't like however is being told we are paying for fillet steak while then we receive rump.

No matter how anyone may paint a picture of them both as being the same, we all know they are hugely different in quality.

I won two more Super 8, 200' color and sound from the same seller late last night. Pluto's Bone Trouble and Tom & Jerry - Cat napping. A slight color fade on the first, and good colors on the last. I really look forward to this :-)

Just a small purchase whilst on the last day here in florida, ilike to have a peek at bedtime and its dangerous this is it scope MJ trailer. This is one ive asked a dealer for more than once and then spotted it twice on there list only for it to sold both times before i could get through so although ive ended up paying double it is still a good buy. Something to look forward to when i get back along with a long singing in the rain trailer and of course viva las vegas.

A good day at Big Screen, got 16mm prints of Lavender Hill Mob and Passport to Pimlico, a lovely scope print of Funny Girl and a few relatively unfaded scope reels of 2001. Slimmer pickings on the 8mm front, just a couple of WW2 Ministry of Information shorts from Ian at Perry's, lovely to see him there. Thought the event was reasonably busy, with the usual faces.

Nice films, Stuart. I thought the show was excellent. Great to meet/see everyone. The live shows were superb, particularly the Movietone/docs programme this morning.

I finally found 1 x 400ft of Poseidon Adventure in original box for £5 with excellent colour and no marks (this is a thrilling result for me), and for £3 The French Connection 1 x 400ft, also great colour, no marks. Plus I got the 3 x 400ft of Towering Inferno (OB) for £20 from Ian with great colour too, but scratched to within an inch of its life! But hey...

They're all titles I wanted about 38 years ago, so I'm getting there slowly!

A good day at the Big Screen Time for me as well, was fun to talk to some of the dealers and the people putting on the Super 8 and 9.5mm film shows. Had to skip most of the afternoon shows due to other personal commitments. I should add the food and the goodie bag were good value for money I thought.

Amongst my purchases, I have to single out two practically mint LPP Super 8 prints of "The Old Mill" and "Mice Follies" bought from Rake and Perry's respectively. Not a scratch or mark to be seen and lovely colour on both. The latter was a bargain at £4!

Its funny as when these are re run on itv4 the picture is always poor quality with a lot of green tint and all other colours muted, i have no idea why this so itl be good to see it how it should be. I believe these were filmed in 16mm to.
