Great purchase Tom and you just reminded me with your post here, that I was interested in placing a punt on Rollercoaster Rabbit, but the closing time went right out of head and I have just seen it finished at £37 with a few light lines. Oh well there will be others no doubt.

Just got a Derann reel of lots of 1970s cinema adverts, including Kia-Ora, Martini and Walls, with 'Intermission' and 'No Smoking' buffers. Gosh, that all takes me back! Also a theatrical trailer of Jaws. Both from CHC.

David, i was very surprised at the price i got but obviously very happy, this is the start of my fund raising for next years Blackpool all being well. Using ebay is a bit of a force of habit for me really. Apologies for not giving it a thought, i always worry that i may insult people on forums by setting a price too high or myself for too low.

Wow, great price for Raise The Titanic Tom, just picked it up myself, not watched it yet so not sure if it's flat or scope, it was part of a package of films I bought.

Where do you boys find your film packages, im jealous,
We now have the 2 x 400ft, (on 1 x 800ft gepe spool) scope version and it does look great.
I will put it onto a 600 so i now have a spare 800ft.

David, i will keep an eye out for you as well, i did manage to get a copy last December from CHC, it has come up once or twice, will add that this iamge, while reasonable is slightly soft and this is the same on all prints but content and sound are very good as is colour,

today i received, cleaned and viewed a superb print of George Formby solo performance, this is a great little film with Formby performing and chatting to a television audience about how he started in "pictures".
This was filmed as a TV special & at the time he did this his wife Beryl was terminally ill at there home. It must have been extremely difficult for him to have done this as a week later she died, and one year later George himself also passed away.
very pleased with this ebay purchase. I must check the jiffy bag as i am positive the sender was Dave Warren, a name i have seen many times in the cine collecting circle but i will double check that tomorrow

Watched a few reels this evening from each of the four new feature length low fade Super 8mm prints I have received in the past few weeks. Some are duplicates, some are not.

All will be featured here in one way or another in the fullness of time and hopefully you will agree with me, the sharpness and contrast of prints of this calibre on Super 8mm, more than matches anything out there,.. period.

Nothing grainy and certainly nothing washy to my eyes, which fortunately, still aren't too bad for a person of my age.

I certainly do not feel that I have watched any of these films from the sand dunes of Cornwall on a blustery day, let's put it that way!

If it really had looked that way on screen, this far in now, at my time of life from within this hobby, I really would be requesting a full frontal lobotomy instead of a full bottle in front of me, as my sanity would have surely gone for good.
