Peter and the wolf Derann/Disney has just arrived with some box art from the seller that does them at special request for any size film's. Screenshots look really good on this
and its an odd one, never seen this come up for sale before.

I was looking at that one myself Paul. Once it got to £72, I figured I'd spent enough lately! 😂😂

Beautiful condition though and definitely the one to get!
Good seller this one and Big Rick was a big big name in the hobby not too far back!
Smashing guy! 😊😊

Nice find Mats! A lovely Derann re release that I was speaking of from fairly late on and on low fade stock. The screenshots were really fantastic. Superb colours.

Paul, we had Peter & the wolf and i must say it is one i very much regret selling now. We only viewed it twice as well. The stupid things we do sometimes.
Just managed to grab the 3 x 400 Ken version of the time machine and the 400footer of Straight Jacket.

Have i told anyone i'm after Die Hard?

Yes, the only bad thing about finding many at the same time is the cost that month. I checked my credit card last night, and jumped in the chair ;-) I now have 12 of 21, so I am more than half through. I have noticed though, that some titles are way more common than others, so I guess I will use way more time on the last ones than my first ones. And that is OK with me. It is a great feeling to find something I have looked for a long time, and in that respect I am glad they are not all readily available.

You could consider this...you are really SAVING money in the long run, as you will pay one fee for shipping costs as opposed to three separate purchases. It only makes sense to buy in quantities! :-) The boxes on all of those look quite nice by the way.

I have received these in the past week or so. All are 200' standard 8 silent/subtitled reels: "Noah's Ark" (1928), "One Million B.C." (1940) and "The Incredible Shrinking Man" (1957). I was very happy that two of the three boxes are in great shape. But all were bought at a really good price with no bidding competition. :-) As I've said before, I've been concentrating on the standard 8 area of my collection lately. I've been quite fortunate in that aspect in the last several weeks. :-)

The shrinking man, did this inspire "land of the giants" now on the free view horror channel. Must have been a reel headache to get around the scale problems, not now though with
cgi. I'm surprised these haven't been remade in Hollywood, only a matter of time I guess, nothing that original has comes out of there in the resent past.

Eivind! Are all with sound? WDHM did only release The Band Consert with soundtrack. Lonesome Ghosts is one of my favourites. I have a Super8 print from Film Office. Unfortunately it´s faded (red)

Very nice additions Eivind! Those are hard to come by! I've only run across "The Band Concert" once and never seen the other two for sale. I bet you're one happy lad! :-)

Mats: They are all sound. I haven't watched them yet. A quick holding it up against the light look shows that one of them have very good color and that was Donald and Pluto, but the other seems to be a at least a little faded.

Lonesome Ghosts is also one of my favorites. The first 400 I ever owned was Mickey & His Pals which is a compilation of 5 Disneys (Clock cleaners, boat builders, lonesome ghosts, whalers and Hwaiian holliday). I abosolutely love them all, but I think Clock cleaners and Lonesome Ghosts are the best ones. I think Mickey's trailer is the only one ranking higher for me, and Pluto's Christmas tree is up there with them.

Tim: I am thrilled to get those, and there are two other Disney gems on its way as I might have mentioned for you. I will post pictures of the boxes as they arrive. I will surely play them at Christmas. I watched Disney classics at Christmas while I waited for the hours to pass until Dinner and gifts were coming :-) So I have a true Christmas feeling. Now if I only found Toy Tinkers :-) I have parts of it on A Walt Disney Christmas (400' Toy tinkers, Santa's workshop, The night before christmas, Pluto's christmas tree). I have only the last one in full length. But there are many years to collect still, so I can't get them all at once. It feels much better when you have looked for it a long time. I have looked for Lonesome Ghosts for two years :-) I will post pictures when I watch it.

Well done Tom, I was lucky enough to pick this up at Blackpool a few years ago when Derann were shifting the odd new ones through in the auction, it's a wonderful film with outstanding picture and stereo sound, soon be time to give it an airing
