I've seen that on the opening credits for some film from the 1970's. One in particular was "The Asphyx" (1973). The opening credits said 'Filmed in TODD-AO 35' I think. What does that mean? BTW, some of my favorite horror films came out of the U.K. in the early 70's.

Todd-AO 35 was a anamorphic system not to be confused with Todd-AO 70
Some of the films were blown up to 70 mm prints
Like Logan's Run and Jesus Christ Superstar
Antony and Cleopatra

Yes TODD-AO 35mm was a big swindle and a waste of time.

Don't really know anything about it other than he was a showman and married to Liz Taylor.

Yes Mike Todd was one of the many who were married to Elizabeth Taylor. As for me I turned her down for obvious reasons.
