Robert you should keep a can of compressed air handy for such times.
Where can I get one David; one film I showed a couple of nights ago was rather jumpy, so yesterday I cleaned where the claws are and used a vacuum on the film path.

Robert any good local High Street Photographic or Electrical shop should sell the cans.
Thanks David, I'll look into that. Clyde, on the TQ1 models the bulb is separate from the mirror, unlike the A1/259. The mirror is built into the projector, it could be removed, but maybe tricky getting another to stay in place. I can take photos if my explanation is not clear. I was thinking that maybe I need to do that sometime.
David, looking around for cans of Compressed Air, I find you can get them much cheaper, usually about £3, even Poundland is selling them. As I have Scottish ancestors on both sides of my tree, I won't be spending £9 when £1 will do.

Watch out for the POUNDLAND ones they may be full of cheap air from England. hahahaha !
Good clean Highland Scottish air is what you need.
From what I read, even about the dearer ones, you should have electrical items switched off when you use it. Contains liquid. The Poundland ones come from the smokey West Midlands.
I wonder if a little foot pump would be as effective, as all you want is a blast of air.
