16mm film short "HOW TO BREAK 90 by BOBBY JONES - HIP ACTION"

In 1933 world champion golfer Bobby Jones was commissioned by Warner Bros./Vitaphone to make a series of 18 instructional shorts in two separate series. What differentiated these films from other similar items was the inclusion in each entry of then popular stars from many of the major Hollywood studios rather than just contemporaneous Warners players ostensibly receiving instruction from Jones in efforts to better their skills. Perhaps the best known of these is "HIP ACTION" featuring W.C. Fields and Warner Oland. Fields, a decent golfer in his own right astonished by Jones's remarkable overall ability has ample opportunity for some typical Fieldsian sotto breath remarks as well as verbal interplay with Jones, all to the amusement of Warner (Charlie Chan) Oland.

This is a new print screened only once for quality. There are no splices other than where I've appended titled leader. Both picture and sound quality are good for the duration of this 9+ minute short. It will be shipped on a lab core.
