It is quite nice, I only need to fix perforation on start of Reel 2, couple of CIR tapes should do it. I will do that when I transfer the three reels to two, should fit okay, it’s 88 minutes I believe. Got two of this, as I bought one from Nigel and not remember I did, so bought one from Del too :-)
Will try auctions on Facebook Reel Market Place, starting fairly low and see how it goes. Selling off quite a few, though it takes time to go through it all. Any idea what a decent starting price would he for a 2x1600’ film, totally red? The reels must be worth at least around 4-5 pounds each? Is 20 pounds too much for a red print?
Feedback appreciated

I've always found Rod Taylor to be a dead ringer for Robin Williams. The reason I phrase it that way, instead of vice versa, is that due to my age, I did not know of Rod Taylor until after Robin Williams became a star. When I saw Taylor in an old Twilight Zone episode, and then in THE BIRDS, I could have sworn that it was Robin Williams.
I don't think it is a coincidence that:
1. Robin Williams was born in 1951.
2. Rod Taylor got married in 1951 to a woman whose last name was Williams.
Just saying...

Thomas Peters, no correct, this is not faded, but in general, I was wondering what a fair action start price for faded prints would be, asthe other film I watched, Leopard in the Snow is quite faded. It will be auctioned on Facebook Reel Market Place. Just wanted feedback, don’t like to start too high. A few years ago,red prints in Norway went for 5 pounds, now on eBay I see faded prints fetch more than ten times that

I don't have experience with prices on Facebook, only eBay.
It used to be on eBay you had to pay a fee just to list, and if it didn't sell, you only got 1 free relisting. Now you can relist as many times as you want, and pay no fees unless it sells. If Facebook works that way, I wouldn't be afraid to start the bidding high.
People on eBay keep re-listing the same film for years (yes, years) without even lowering the price. But if you're eager to sell in a reasonable amount of time (say, 2 or 3 weeks), I wouldn't recommend that strategy.
If you've read some other recent threads on here, I've talked about people overpaying for vinegar prints, so I wouldn't discount by much a red print that otherwise is in good shape.

Facebook is not charging anything, you can do what you like (only censor nudity if selling adult films) … So in your opinion, a 2x1600’ faded print, no VS, just a few splices, what would it be worth? Am I starting too high at 20 pounds? I mean, you can’t go by eBay prices anymorr

I have no idea how Facebook auctions work. I don't know what you mean by they are not changing anything.
Prices depend on the title. I look at sold listings to determine a price for a title. If a particular title does not show up in sold listings, then you need to make a swag.
How high you set an opening bid or "buy it now", assuming FB has that, would be determined (if I were selling) by the fees being charged. With eBay, no harm, no foul to list high, then lower the price when you re-list, since it does not cost you a dime. If there is a listing fee, and/or a re-listing fee, I, personally, would be more cautious on the price I am asking. I would also list it with a "make an offer" option, if avail. The problem with that on eBay is that they expire in one day. (The offer-maker, as a buyer, used to be able to configure it up to 2 days, but now they took that away, in their infinite wisdom.) I would prefer to take offers for the length of the listing, then sell, if I wanted, to the highest offer. Sort of a "blind bid" process. But what do I know???
At the end of the day, something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
BTW, there is a seller that is still listing an incomplete version of a slightly edited feature. I've mentioned it before on here. I have seen the listing for well over a year, over and over again. To be clear -- if the feature was as-released by the manufacturer, it would be incomplete -- meaning slightly edited. But there is one reel missing from this edition. So, to me, it is pretty useless, unless you are patient enough to wait, and hope for, someone in the future selling just that particular reel, that is from this particular edited version. Now, if he was selling this for under $100, I'd say "hmmm, maybe someone would buy it." But no -- he is asking several times that amount -- and he is very firm on the price. Some people just do not "get" it.
What's the point I'm making? If no one is bidding, then reduce the price accordingly after a reasonable amount of time.
To each his own.
Good luck!

I shut off spell checking and correcting in Firefox for that very reason.
Anyhoo...
If Facebook doesn't charge, then start the bidding high and adjust accordingly.
What is the title of the red film you want to sell? If it's ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES, then start it low. If it is NORTH BY NORTHWEST, start it high.

There’s several, but the one I think of is the other film I recently posted, Leopard n the Snow. And The Attic is red too, also a to be listed film. Downsizing, so keeping only the ones I know I want to see again
