I just found out that the BRK exciter lamp is out of production. It appears that it is still relatively easy to get. Does anyone know when it went out of production?
What will we do when they are no longer available?

I have had 16mm projectors for over 20 years and never had to replace the exciter lamp, though. I bought a spare over 20 years ago that I still have. Is there any reason to worry?

This also known as the G27 and is used horizontally, mainly in 16mm Eiki/Elf and Elmo projectors.
It was discontinued on 12th January 2023.

Thanks. Of course, I only have 2 16mm projectors: an Eiki and an Elmo.

I guess it's time to stockpile.

I should add that this lamp is also used in Buckingham 9.5mm conversions which are Eiki/Elf originally.

This isnt good news, seems like another nail in the coffin for cine.once these run out, if you cant get one your projector will become a silent model.
These bulbs use to be a few quid now i see they around £10 each.
Time to check stocks i guess.
