The Silver Elmo?

I dont really think i can even begin to think what was going on in the mind of the owner of this Elmo projector.
Something must have snapped and he/she thought it was a great idea. I have never seen a collector do such a hideous thing to a projector.
What a mess, every switch, all the plastic and even sloppy silver at the feed point on the green guide and just look at the switch panel on the back!! All the symbols have been completely covered, what a looney.

Yes pretty awful paint job, its more of a graffiti job or fell into a barrel of silver, makes you wonder what the insides like! Mark

I like the thick run of over paint behind that rear guide, gives it a nice pattern,

It's almost like a young child has got hold of a pot of paint and a brush and been told to cover everything they can see, it is the most weird thing i've seen, even funnier is the seller trying to sell it, he claims it was painted by a previous owner, does this mean this person has actually been using it? I guess they were savy enough not to paint the lens glass, now that would have been funny.

Perhaps , someday , it will shine as a Museum piece . Say in the 22nd century ? ( after we , those of us who KNOW about it have croaked )

They could have used a fine brush, mind you, looking at the state of it they should have used spray cans.
