"PLAISIR DU CINEMA" (French Magazine)

#1 by Philip Murat , Sat Sep 15, 2018 3:52 pm

Hello,

"PLAISIR DU CINEMA" was a French Magazine in 80 Eras devoted to "amateurs" , home movie makers with 8Std/S8/9,5/16mm , for people working with a movie camera but also projectors sometime to time....

It disappeared in the 90ths due to video entrance (last isuues were turn to Video) .....

It's in French language, of course, but it can be found some tests, same tricks, some schemas, etc......

I have a few sample of them . If somebody is interested , I'll make some scans , as soon as I can .

Let me know.

Sounds interesting Philip; I don't read French, but would be interested to see some scans of the magazines.

Hello,

At this time, it seemed to work for me. Please note, when you get to this point, click on the red text file name of "PDC83.pdf" to begin download....ignore the other green button which states "START NOW":--that is nonsense about other software which is NOT needed.....
Here is an image of what I saw (others may see something somewhat different based on browser selection etc.):

I haven't yet looked at the file in detail, but it appears to be in French language. Even for those of us (like me) who do not understand French language it still is quite interesting to see. Thanks again Phil for sharing another important document... :)

Hello,

Thanks for this information Greg.

May be like this it's working better (Robert, let me know) :

https://www.grosfichiers.com/0C3btdcn6p5qv

To be note :
Document has been scanned to 300Dpi.
Document has been splitted to be easier taken by the mass scanner (A3 paper size), so that paging number taken sens ones document printed (recto/verso).
This is in French language, you can use Google translator or Reverso (May be it could be interesting to convert file to Word file to make it easier ).
File size is 9,3 Mo
Document is 60 pages

Hello Philip, I'm now getting the same image as Greg. I will look at it later today as I have to go out this morning. Thanks. Just had a chance to view. I can't read French, but this is an interesting magazine. Interesting to see as late as 1986 that 9.5mm was available in Ektachrome. These mags, like our 'Movie Maker' in the UK are worth keeping for the valuable information they give. Thanks for taking the time to scan this.

Were there similar magazines in the U.S.A.?.
