Uploading pictures.

I thought I would say a few words on the subject for those new here. Bill, you uploaded some great screenshots, but were you happy with the size?. When you upload the pictures and press insert, you get the Auto option first, and you never know how they are going to appear. This is what I do. Once I have downloaded the pictures to my computer, I open them in Paint, then I reduce them to the size I want. When I upload to this forum, and press insert. You get three options, Auto, Original, and Custom. I use Original. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advise, I need it! I just posted the pictures straight from my iPhone. Should the pictures be bigger or smaller? They seemed about the right size on the posts, maybe they could be a little bigger....

They are original size if you click on the pictures, so no resolution is lost, though you can show as smaller ones inside post

This is just click on file name size

This is Insert Auto

This is Insert Full-size

This is Insert Custom 100x100

And Custom can give you much more

This is all same picture downloaded once. Quite flexible

You did very well anyway Bill as it's all new to you here, but at least it's a lot easier than some sites that have restrictions on the number of pixels.

Thanks Vidar! I see, so no matter how big they appear in the post you can click on the picture in the post and a new window will pop up enlarging the picture. I'm really not that good with computer stuff or iPhones for that matter so thanks for the help. It is much easier to post pictures on this forum.

It was one of the reason we chose this and unlimited uploads (though not in same post)

As you sad, no matter size in post, clicking on it gives actual fullsize

Look forward to more screenshots, I think most here enjoy that

I put up a new topic in screenshots and I selected full size and the pics were gigantic! I just selected auto and I think they are ok. I could probably crop them in the future. Right now I am just posting from my phone so I can mess with the pictures more from my computer later.

Yes Bill I have done that as well; you need to do it on the computer, in Paint. Until then you can carry on as you are.
