One things for certain Robbie, they won't be video cams that's for sure in 1969. I cannot quite make out what they may be though just from this photograph sorry.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
And please forward your ull name. It can be 8mm cameras, 16mm for TV use, but as Andrew says, too early for video, surely?

were they not using video cams in the 60s for tv, they don't look like still cameras to me but i don't know
As Vidar says Robbie, they may well be movie cameras but in those days they used real film, just like us relics still like to do!
Video was a little later I'd say even in professional circles.
"C'Mon Baggy, Get With The Beat"
Most likely real film. Bing Crosby was using video recorders in the 1950s. http://ethw.org/First-Hand:Bing_Crosby_a...ding_Revolution
The 1968 Sherlock Holmes series on BBC starring Peter Cushing was shot on Video; only 5 stories have survived, the rest being wiped. I think video was pretty rare in those days; I didn't see any professional TV cameras about until the 80s.
Sorry to nag about it, but would really appreciate your full name
Thanks

Had another look at the photo; they could be just 35mm cameras with telephoto lenses. They look similar to the ones in the foreground.
