I tried to understand a Spanish blog about the striping service. It looks that he charges 30€ for 300 meters main and balance striping. Rerecording a feature € 90. But I could be wrong, as I don't speak Spanish. I'll try to contact Ignacio, who wrote the blog, but it seems that he is on Svalbard, filming Super 8, right now

90 euros is cheap too for a feature if it is done well.

I paid in the end, far far more for just around 400ft which ended up a complete disaster!

Well Friends,as you know Im spanish so i will try to inform all of you the best i can about the striping service. The service is made by Alberto Vangelisti in italy who have a profesional striping machine that give better results tan derann on the striping thanks to a new formula developed that include Chrome in it for better frecuency response,the result are so good that even actívate the sub bass in a dolby processor when the film is reproduced conected to a dolby cinema procesor.The middle and hig frecuences are wonderfull too.Film can be striped on acetate or polyester base without problems in super 8mm,16mm and even 35mm.

The prices for this service are:

30 euros for each 300 meter of film plus 5 euros more for the cleaning that is needed to prepare the film to receive the stripe correctly.Total cost for striping 300 meter of film 35 euros (31,02 GBP) or ( 43,37 USD )

If you want that your film be re-recorded in you own language then you must add 90 euros (111,527 USD ) (79,7848 GBP) more ,thats the cost of the re-recording only.

Are these prices for the main as well as balance tracks? (T1 & T2)

If this process produces anything at all like the results you used to be able to achieve from the BASF or TDK Chrome tapes of the 80's , we are in for a treat!

The difference over the standard FE cassettes was vast. Metal tapes being the ultimate of course.

I had Alberto stripe a 400ft for me and it was brilliant not only just main stripe but you also get balance stripe as well so you can have stereo, he also rerecorded my 8mm print of Brubaker and it was perfect, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Thanks Friends, the Price is for both tracks so you can record in stereo. Quality of the paste stripe and re recording is A-MA-ZING!!! professional level.
The stripe is paste stripe so it will last a lifetime,no surprises friends.
