Simple.
1) You just place an uncut leader under the spring clip of the rotating arm .
2) Switch on motor.
3) Press the button.
The arm rotates over the top sprocket, the lens assembly hinges down. The film is here now. Under the sound rollers. The rear sprocket retainer opens as the film passes through. Now under the rear roller. The arm stops at 12 o'clock.
Let enough film pass for attachment to rear spool and switch off motor.
Simple.
You can find one operating on YouTube.

Since my other post regarding my Top 10 Best Looking Substandard gauge projectors finished up in a muddle regarding the photographs due to technical issues here with our uploads, I have decided to complete it here in order that it keeps some order regarding the photographs linked with the text.
So moving on here is number 6 on my list,...

6/ The Elmo GS 1200

Anyone who couldn't have been taken by the introduction of this model around 1978 must have lived in a parallel universe. This head turner really set the bar so far as looks and overall appeal is concerned. Many still refer to it as the "Rolls Royce" of Super 8mm projectors and certainly so far as modern technical appeal and aesthetics were concerned back then, who would ever argue?
The P Com model featured here also was one of the last released by this company and really does epitomise all that was ever possible on Super 8mm from both a looks as well as functionality standpoint.
Absolutely magnificent looking machine!

Like something out of a magic trick!

Prefer the one in City blue though that Maurice featured earlier.

Not only Blue Gwyn, but better still Sky Blue!

I might have to buy one, just to look at it!
Now what should I call it Kun or Kev?

It might just make a very late entry here in my top 10 best looking projectors!
