I too

I too tend to use my my Bauer T 610 & Beaulieu 708 el CD Stereo projectors far more than my ST 1200, GS 800 or GS1200 (if i had one) and Eumig S820/ 938

Rock steady picture, perfect sound, quiet running, beautiful sharpness of image through primary lenses and superb lamp output whiteness and brightness on screen time after time.
Projection perfection personified! ( Don's Lens included!)

Earlier today screening WFRR..
The sound from the 4ohm ext speakers used earlier today was the best I have ever heard in my house from any Super 8 projector using just this particular film.
Superb digital like clarity, bags of top and bottom end and just about the best spacial presence I've ever heard from a Super 8mm stereo track with the speakers separated by about 8ft. Truly magnificent for a striped 8mm film.

Why choose anything else?

I wish I had A Beaulieu, but I have only seen one for sale in Sweden and the price was 45000 SEK = appx. £ 4000.

If that was the one at Wibergs Photo that is the one that I purchased and was damaged by Ritter Media in Germany. Sorry.. I had to throw that in there! :)

It was that one. I understand Your frustration. I don´t understand how they could handle any projector like that and especially a rare and extremely expensive one like Yours.

They are for sale all the time across Europe Mats. Try Stephan Binder as Maurice has pointed out above. There will be no going back once you've watched JB through one of these babies.
As I've always said also, the 610 takes some beating equally as a home used projector, obviously only if you buy a decent one. (both cases)

Maybe some day i will find and buy one of these beauties, but first I have to organize my collections. I have 50+ projectors. I have to check them and decide which to keep. I also have to go through the film collections. I have hundreds of films, to check and screen. Everything takes up space, especially the 35mm stuff.

50 projectors is about 45 too many in my world Mats!

I struggle to find the time to run 5 of mine for the amount of use they prefer and deserve.

I agree Andrew! If you collect just Super 8mm. I´m crazy enough to collect, 8mm, Super 8, 9,5, 16mm and 35 mm . Some oldies will be kept just for display, as I love the design. But i surely have to downsize.

You must have one giant sized property Mats, that's all that I can say!

We built a second floor 3 years ago. I´ts now about 2900 square ft., but I still have storage problem. I can´t just fill the guest rooms with film and projectors. My home cinema is about 20 x 20 ft + projection boot. The 35mm Bauer B11 is a 500 lb monster and takes up a good part of the projection boot, but I still have room for 40 35mm features there. The rest of my film collection is stored on shelves in the cinema room.

2900 sq ft is about the length of our entire street!

I am glad I don't pay your gas bills in winter Mats!

It´s not that bad. We don´t have gas. We have 3 airconditioners + a fireplace with an insert that can produse up to 14kW. The monthly electricity bill is a maximum £300, the coldest months of the year. As we live in the south of the country nearby the sea, the winters are not that cold. ( And I dont´t heat the cinema, as I like my films stored cool and dry. )

£300 is just over what we pay for one quarterly bill for either electricity or Gas during the winter months.
We live in house probably a tenth of the size of yours Mats.

Don't ever move to rip off Britain Mats!! 😂

14kw .I'd be bankrupt!

Andrew! 14 kW from firewood, not electricity, fortunately.

14kw from firewood isn't something readily available in the city unfortunately Mats.
Smokeless fuel only here.

Mats,, your meant to buy films for your projector/s, not a projector for each film

I know Tom! I just have a problem to resist a good deal. Many projectors came with film collections I have bought. Others were to cheap to let go. For example I bought a near mint GS1200 with original Elmo speakers and a spare bulb, used for screening their only film, from the Swedish Kennel Club. £ 70. How could I resist. In fact I sold a 10 projector lot recently, to a guy who repairs and sells projectors and film. I´m not a hoarder, but I have a problem trowing away something, that can come to use for someone.

PS! I bought a lot of films, but not a single projector, in Blackpool.

Alan, I sincerely hope you don't really like wearing womens shoes!

Only kidding mate and I did get the analogy,...Mmmm not so sure on the 926 though. For sure it looks better than it performs, that i will grant you, but that ain't saying too much is it! (Coaxial reels and all)

Whereas with films it is all about condition, condition ,condition, with projectors much is simply about alignment, alignment, alignment!

No womens shoes for me! -
Not that theres anything wrong with that. :)
I only like the way the Eumigs look. But when it comes down to performance, for me, the picture just isn't bright enough, doesn't handle large enough reels, and isn't in the same league as the machines that I really love!
That's why I posted I "used" to own all those machines.
