That would be great if someone took this to heart and gave us many new years of conventions. How about yourself, Nigel?

I think if it were Nigel, then surely someone would take over the running of the BFCC or reinvent a similar event. So far though, I've heard nothing to suggest this would ever be the case.
If Ian can be persuaded to visit the Blackpool convention, now he has huge stock inventory again, this would really be quite a great addition for the convention and hopefully Phil will be in better health again by then.
We wish him a speedy recovery after his recent op.

Vidar ,there is nothing more that id love to do than set up a convention but im afraid it does need quite a bit of money to do so and i dont have the funds for that ,and its difficult to know how many people would turn up nowdays ,its a shame we dont have a meet like you do over there like a club etc .Andrew i see what you mean re more films being taken to blackpool but i feel it would be good just to meet other collectors and dealers for another convention say mid year istead of now just blackpool in november which as it happens is the best event of the film calender (thank you david guest),the forums are great but its also good to be able to meet up and talk cine etc .should anyone have any ideas then please do post something here .

I totally understand, but there could be pre-paid tickets (fund raiser) to reach the cost, so it would not cost arranger anything, if not enough are willing, it is not happening. But it do takes time, effort too of course

nigel every body is good at making suggestions but ask for volunteers and the subject goes quiet , and some people who live only 30 mins drive away fail to attend .it very hard sorting everything out setting out the tables for the dealers sorting out the cinema .especially when my convention runs for 3 days .I should have twice the people attending blackpool but the numbers seem to be getting less so what you do .without people like paul barker don sykes uncle bob and simon and mark Norton this event would not go on even kieth organiser of bbfc helps me out now .plus Adrian and his dedicated helpers who do the Saturday night evening bash .I suggest nigel you speak to kieth and ask him how many tables he gets booked in and what attendance he gets less than 150 then in my opinion forget it

re blackpool after speaking to several dealers and collectors I have decided to not list what dealers will be attending all I can say is a lot more than last year over 35 tables ,plus auction and bring and buy and please "don't ask for lists of my unsold films or photos...if you want either, get yourself to Blackpool"its your loss if you don't attend

I don't blame you Dave, Derann never used to put out a list or put on the forum what dealers was coming, as you say if you want to know take a trip to Blackpool in November.
