a very good friend of mine had a hip replacement and ended up getting pneumonia and died I believe this is quite common on this type of operation

Yes, 2016 has been quite awful. I do fear next year will bring more, as the stars of 50's and up are getting on. Eastwood is not a young man anymore and even if Mr. Kirk Douglas managed 100, it is probably not the norm. Hope Mr. Eastwood can reach that age too, he is quite a good director, even if he ain't playing many roles anymore
