Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you Vidar! Thank you for sticking it out with us during an occasionally turbulent year. Your love of reel film is unsurpassed and may you continue to enjoy this hobby for many, many, many more years!

#6, " Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you Vidar! Thank you for sticking it out with us during an occasionally turbulent year. Your love of reel film is unsurpassed and may you continue to enjoy this hobby for many, many, many more years!"
Tim describes this year at times as "turbulent" on this forum.
What utter nonsense.
Look back to the short historical series of events here, I pride myself as i'm certain ALL of the admin staff do, of having the most settled, least turbulent 12 months running of any public forum, that there has been!
It takes both diplomacy and input to run a forum successfully. I hope 2017 sorts out the "input" side of things by our members, as I feel we all have, sorting out the diplomacy issues at times gone by!!
We have done our bit, it is now time for our members to respond likewise at times, not all I might add, but certainly, the vast vast majority!!
Here, there has been nothing whatsoever regarding "turbulent" times during 2016, compared to our first year here, that much I can say!
Now, if you like real film, like buying real films still, like discussing topics relating to screen and silver screen fame in general, please feel free to join in conversation once in a while, not simply just to join here to snoop, like some kind of weird peeping Tom.
Forums need stimulus from members to remain viable and to invite new members to join.
Without it, it is not only Derann who has gone to the wall!
The entire hobby will have done!
A big big thank you for those that do continue to post here and those who have joined this forum and set the ground running like Mark Mander etc etc.
It is most appreciated!
A big thank you must also go to Gwyn this year whose input has been both remarkable and highly valued.
Long may it continue throughout 2017 and thereafter.

You've made a mountain out of a molehill Andrew. You took one word that I said and responded with a LONG, rambling post. Whatever.
It was quite a rough summer, Andrew. I won't dig that up again, but I think it really was. But I am glad to say we had very good times after that. It was just a friendly Merry Christmas from Tim.

And it was quite a turbulent mess, was hoping this would be left behind now and that we can look forward. Happy New Year? I hope so, be kind to each other, we are all loving the same thing. At least I think we do

Sorry guys but I didn't and still don't remember any "turbulent" times here from the past twelve months.
Before that, most definitely, and we welcomed back John etc as a result of things settling down here as I recall.
If it was mountains from mole hills etc etc, apologies, but I thought it had been a very peaceful and pro active 12 months here personally, even if a little too quiet still at times.
